All Online Sports Betting Fans Look for an Alternative to Vettel

Online sports betting fans will be looking to see who can threaten the reigning champion Sebastian Vettel for the title this year. For fans of Red Bull, Vettel is still young and we probably have not seen his best yet. He will definitely grow with experience and become stronger. There are others to look at who will undoubtedly push themselves and Vettel to the limit, like Hamilton, Alonzo, Button and Raikkonen, but the betting would suggest what we all know already – it will take a small miracle to beat Vettel and Red Bull.

Wigan on the way down

Relegation seems to be absolute certainty for Martinez and Wigan. The 2-0 loss at home to Swansea just confirmed online betting trends, with Wigan now top of the list to be relegated. It is a shame as Martinez has always tried to play attractive football and give the fans something to look forward to, but unfortunately, the club has not been able to achieve basic goals that are required to survive the Premier League.

Wigan has the least amount of goals in the league, 23 this season and have only won once at the DW Stadium in August 2011. The club has not been able to score in 11 games this season. All this shows their lack of being up to Premier League football and the need for something more than trying to play attractive football. My free betting advice would be to look at them in the Championship league next season and hope they can bounce back quickly.

Looking at the Relegation betting at Paddy Power, Bolton Wanderers is another club that seem unable to halt their slide with the 2-0 defeat to Manchester City over the weekend. Bolton’s next game at home to QPR is set to be another pressure game to see whether they can start some sort of revival, and even with online betting for the game having them as favorites to win the game at home, it is not a certainty with confidence at such a low.

So Close Yet So Far for Mcllroy

Rory Mcllroy failed to win the final of the WGC Match Play last weekend. Rory lost to Hunter Mahan, even though Rory progressed on the back nine before losing 2&1. Online sports betting operators would have biting their finger nails as there were times during the game when Rory seemed to gain momentum, and even had a great chance for an eagle on the 15th but missed.

The win would have taken Mcllroy to the world number one position, which would have been a great achievement for the 22 year old lad from Northern Ireland. The Mahan win means that Luke Donald remains as world number one, but it would definitely be worthwhile to consider a couple free bets on a successor.

The Wolves at Connor’s Door

Wolverhampton Wanderers have appointed Terry Connor as manager of the club until the end of the season. Terry has been with Wolves for 13 years, and is the first time he will taking on the role. He was not the Chairman’s first choice, and the opportunity only presented itself when Smith, Curbishley and McDermott opted out of the running. So bookmakers would have made a killing, with not even free bets being placed on Connor.

It is a tough post, and some are already voicing their feelings that it is a lose-lose situation for Terry. In the sense that if the he manages to keep the club in the Premier League, he will be replaced with someone of ‘better stock’ and on the other hand if the club goes down, Terry will be removed as matter of course. One thing is for certain, bookmakers are still not convinced that he can get the club to remain in the Premier League, with online betting having the club odds on with Wigan to go down.

World Match Play in Arizona

This weekend is the start of the Accenture World Match Play Championship. This golf championship should be very interesting with the world number one Luke Donald paired against Ernie Els, 3 times Major winner. Luke has great memories of this tournament, and I am sure he will be hoping to reproduce his 2011 form when he won all six of his matches before the 18th hole. In spite of this, online sports betting on Luke Donald being the outright winner is 18/1, Rory McIlory favorite at 11/1 and Tiger Woods second favorite at 12/1.

Speaking of Tiger Woods, he is playing against Gonzalo Fernandez-Castano. Rory is going against George Coetzee and Lee Westwood tees up against Colsaerts. Match betting is always a great way of getting involved in the early stages of any tournament, and punters should always have an accumulator bet online on these match ups.
